Benoit Assou Ekotto has finally trained with the Indomitable Lions despite fears of a persistent injury that could scupper his participation in next Sunday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Togo.
The Tottenham Hotspur left back only joined the Lions’ den on Thursday evening amidst reports that he has been ruled out of Sunday’s game.
He however trained with the rest of the squad on Friday morning for their last training session before taking off for Lome ahead of Sunday’s game.
The Indomitable Lions could open a three-point gap at they top of their group with a win after Libya were held to a goalless draw on Friday evening by visiting DR Congo.
Cameroon head the Group with six points from three games, followed by Libya (six from four games), DR Congo (four from four) and Togo (one from three).
The Indomitable Lions leave for Lome on Saturday morning.
