Barca set to sell Alex Song to Chelsea or Liverpool.

Barcelona are said to be ready to send Alex Song packing back to the Premier League in the summer after a disappointing start to his career with the club.

Song joined Barca from Arsenal in a £15million deal in August but has only been a fringe player so far, making just seven appearances in the league.

And according to Marca, that has been enough for manager Tito Vilanova to judge that the 25-year-old is not up to scratch, and the club will look to offload him in the summer.

The Spanish paper claims that Song is most likely to return to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Liverpool mentioned as possible destinations.

The news comes just a week after Song was named as second biggest flop of the season in La Liga – just a few votes behind £30million Tottenham old boy Luka Modric.

Song is unlikely to have the option to return to Arsenal – having slammed the club over the summer for their lack of ambition.
