It’s hardly surprising that Dr. Dre topped Forbes’ hip-hop rich list this year, as it has been revealed that the mogul earned an estimated $110 million from his headphones alone.
The Cali rapper and producer launched his Beats By Dr Dre headphones in 2006 and has seen many stars such as Lebron James, Nicki Minaj, P. Diddy and Lil Wayne endorsing the venture.
It’s now been revealed that Dre has topped Forbes’ Cash Kings list with an estimated total fortune of more than $250 million. Part of that is down to electronics company HTC paying $300 million for a 51 percent stake in the headphones company.
Out of that $300 million, Dre took home $100 million for himself.
Also included in the Forbes list is P. Diddy in second place with $45 million, Jay-Z in third place sitting on $38 million and Kanye West in fourth place with $35 million, while Lil Wayne rounding off the top five.
