Angola’s “Palacras Negras” to confront Cameroon in friendly

Luanda – The national senior males football team hope to play Cameroon on 14 December, in the northern Cabinda Province, an encounter that will serve for the Angolan squad to prepare for the African Nations Cup (CAN2012), to happen from 21 January to 12 February in Gabon and Equatorial-Guinea.
The information was given to ANGOP on Monday by the deputy chairman of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) for international relations, João Luzivikueno, who added that FAF has already sent the invitation to the concerned Cameroonian authorities, so it awaits the reply.
ANGOP has learnt that the initial opponent for the friendly game was the Democratic Republic of Congo, who manifested unavailability to play this match.
Meanwhile, FAF has also scheduled friendly games with Zambia (18 December) in the north-eastern Lunda-Norte Province and with Namibia (22 December) in the southern Huila Province.
Angola is in group B of the CAN2012 with Burkina Faso, Sudan and Côte d’Ivoire, based in Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea.
Cameroon did not qualify for the 2012 African Nations Cup.
